Boasting superior craftsmanship, top-tier tonewoods and a bevy of design innovations, the Gold Label 814e introduces the world to a new kind of Taylor sound. This model features a new body shape called the Super Auditorium, a slightly larger version of Taylor's famous Grand Auditorium shape that yields impressive power with a heritage-inspired warmth and richness that will entice traditionalists and contemporary ears alike. Back and sides of Honduran rosewood are paired with a torrefied Sitka spruce top, delivering exceptional low-end presence, clear trebles and a complex harmonic character with overtones that bloom as notes resonate. Inside, a new iteration of V-Class bracing dials up longer sustain, greater volume and near-perfect pitch accuracy all the way up the neck. A new long-tenon neck joint improves overall resonance and sonic transfer, also providing super-precise adjustability whenever the need arises. This Super Auditorium guitar sports a fresh suite of visual appointments with a new Continental inlay suite, a new pickguard design, grained ivoroid trim, antique chrome Gotoh 510 tuners with ebony buttons, bone bridge pins, and a gloss-finished body.
